The Underworld Lords told Hercules that he could bring Cerberus, but only when he transcended his savage power to overtake the beast. When Hercules found Cerberus in the underworld, he surrounded the beast with his strong arms, and perhaps grabbed all three heads and fell Cerberus. Cerberus had to succumb to the power of the hero, and Hercules brought Seberus to Euros.
