She renounced the luxuries of feudal life, dressing as a Franciscan nun and living a life of poverty and piety. She was known for her selfless charity and care for the poor, establishing Hungary’s first hospital and personally caring for the sick. St. Elizabeth’s life has inspired many to seek religious depth and spiritual growth, and she is revered as a model of charity and piety. She is commemorated on November 17th each year.
